I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting into with this book, but found myself nearly immediately pulled into this complex world of time traveling historians and their crazy adventures. The name says a lot about the structure – the book nearly immediately jumps the shark, and then never quite comes down with one climax after another (including a couple super steamy ones, plus a good bit of death and destruction) as the protagonists must face…just one damned thing after another. The pacing took some getting used to, but once I was firmly on the ride, it was very fun. Great humor and world building.
