Such a delightfully meta book. Funny and insightful, exciting and touching, this is a wonderful read for folks who love disappearing into a book and dream of being able to literally do so. I’ve read most of the other books in the series and eventually they start to descend a little too deeply into their own madness. But the first (and the first couple of sequels) don’t lose sight of the book’s best aspect: really lovable, relatable characters having a rip-roaring adventure through the wonder and beauty of literature. Highly recommended.
