Super cute and sexy book. As a major Robin Hood adaptation fan, I loved the asides and references to the most recent BBC Robin Hood (“don’t forget the last man”) and the underrated Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves movie (walking out of the smoke hero moment, etc). But even with all the nods to other adaptations, The Hooded Man still feels fresh. I loved the super-sexy Will Scarlett, Tuck as Robin’s brother, and the erotic relationship between Guy and the Sheriff (which we have always wanted and was never so explicit before, except for the heavy hints in the BBC TV show). Great wish-fulfillment in the best way as a Robin Hood retelling. Fun read.
